Transcript of Cross Afire #12: I Don't See Dead People
Jerry Falwell: Out of familial respect, the Pentagon suppresses photographs of dead soldiers' coffins...
But newspapers show the names and faces of the dead!
Pat Buchanan: That shouldn't be allowed! Just think of the families!
Out of respect for the families, the fact of any soldiers dying whatsoever should not be public information!
We don't need to know that!
Pat: I think we can agree that out of respect for the families, the fact of being at war should not be reported at all!
Look at our wa-- er, presence in Afghanistan! That's a perfect model -- except for that meddling football player!
Jerry: I trust the President! He should simply update us once every four years... or whenever we successfully
annex a foreign nation!
Pat: It's upsetting to see coffins wrapped in the flag!
Jerry: I'd much rather see the President wrapped in it!
